As a young boy back in 2012, I became the proud owner of the first smartphone I had ever owned; the Galaxy S2. Despite most peers around me owning the fruit brand, and mocking anyone who didn't, I stood proud of my Galaxy.
As the years passed, Galaxy device after Galaxy device, I witnessed the brand grow and mature, just as I did. I watched the brand encounter challenges, pick itself up, try again, innovate, and succeed; one Galaxy S at a time.
This year, we see yet another innovation, in the form of Galaxy AI for the Galaxy S24 series. In my view, however, this may not be Samsung's best innovation. It may not even be in its ability to create a community of enthusiasts, and bringing all of us together to celebrate the journey that has been made so far.
With each new Galaxy device, it always makes me feel like the younger me holding my Galaxy S2 for the very first time. The feeling of pure child-like excitement and anticipation. The feeling of pride of owning a Galaxy. The feeling of confidence in the future. This, I argue, may just be Samsung's best innovation yet.
