We envision the day when every child in Pakistan will participate in an education that nurtures them to become loving, thinking and engaged citizens. The Institute Phase 1, where the Islamabad and Karachi cohorts have been together, concludes successfully. Over the past two weeks, our Fellows have been exploring what makes an excellent classroom and discovered their own stories. They have been asking important questions: What do Pakistan's children need from us? What does being part of this movement mean? What values define us? Who else needs to join us at the table? This week, the Karachi Fellows are heading back to begin preparations for the Summer School starting next week, and the Islamabad Fellows will do the same. How will the next phase of the Institute equip our Fellows? Stay tuned to find out! #TeachForPakistan #LeadershipBeginsHere

Exciting updates as we move into the second week of the Institute 2024! Our Fellows embarked on this journey with an inspiring Induction Day, featuring engaging discussions with parents and a vibrant student panel. Week one was packed with enriching experiences — from exploring our Theory of Change to deep dives into pedagogy and interactive learning circles. A huge thank you to the British High Commission in Pakistan, Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, and Federal Directorate of Education for their steadfast partnership and support in driving our mission to transform education. A special shoutout to our venue partners, Froebel's International School and Beaconhouse Group, for providing their facilities in Islamabad & Karachi for our 2024 Cohort training. Stay tuned for more updates from the #Institute2024 #LeadershipBeginsHere #TeachForPakistan

July 1 marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter in my life; the onset of my Fellowship with Teach For Pakistan. After nearly two years with the KP government's Education Department, where I had the good fortune of teaching some incredibly talented students, I decided to expand my impact beyond the classroom and engage with the broader education sector in Pakistan. The first day at the Teach For Pakistan training institute was full of excitement, nerves, and energy. I had the pleasure of meeting enthusiastic and dedicated individuals, both new fellows and the very supportive Teach For Pakistan staff, who showed strong commitment to making this institute an unforgettable experience for the incoming Cohort. We had the opportunity to visit a school where Teach For Pakistan alumni have made a significant impact, heard from the students' parents who spoke highly of the positive changes brought by the fellows. This school visit was followed by a student panel discussion in which Teach For Pakistan taught students shared their learning journey of two years with Teach For Pakistan fellows. The confidence with which they shared their learnings and the bigger goals they have set for their life was so inspiring to hear. To sum up, the beginning of the training institute has been incredibly productive and enriching, filled with new experiences. Here's to new learnings and to making a lasting impact. #TeachForPakistan #EducationInequity #educationforall #TeachForAll

An unforgettable experience at the Schools2030 Global Education Forum in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan! From June 11-13, I had the privilege of sharing my passion for climate education with a global audience. I spoke about our Climate Class Connection intiative in Pakistan, where we have been working tirelessly to integrate climate education into teaching and curricula using innovative strategies. It was incredible to connect with like-minded educators and climate leaders from the UK, UAE, India, Brazil, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and many more. Together, we shared knowledge, ideas, and best practices on how to address the climate crisis through education. My key takeaways from the forum include: - Innovative practices needed in teaching pedagogy to advance climate education. - Social responsibilities from all actors. - Contextualized curriculum and policy structures needed. - Inclusive mechanisms of support for climate education projects in schools and beyond. The forum was a melting pot of inspiration, innovation, and collaboration. I left with renewed energy and a strengthened resolve to continue fighting for a sustainable future. We also had the opportunity to meet with the first cohort of Teach For Kyrgyzstan. I shared my success stories about Teach For Pakistan For Pakistan Fellowship. Thank you to the Schools2030 team, Lennart Kuntze Dr. Andrew Cunningham and Aga Khan Foundation for this opportunity! Let's keep pushing boundaries and shaping a better world for all. Special thank to my colleagues (Marina Castro Nikita Gidwani Esther Gacigi Meera B Shiella Atto who made my time productive. #ClimateEducation #Schools2030 #GlobalEducationForum #Sustainability #EducationForACause" Teach For All

شکوہ ظلمت شب سے تو کہیں بہتر تھا اپنے حصے کی کوئی شمع جلاتے جلاتے Feeling extremely grateful on completing my two-year fellowship journey! These two years have taught me the true meaning of leadership. I have learned the power of empathy, joy, and resilience in changing our educational landscape. I can confidently say, that my students have emerged as true critical thinkers, diligent workers, empathetic, and socio-economically aware of their surroundings. This fellowship has not only helped my students grow strong in their already present abilities - but also helped me reflect deeply on my vision for myself and helped me foster an unforgettable emotional connection with my students. Special thanks to Teach For Pakistan for providing this exceptional opportunity, to my coach Haris Nawaz for his effective mentorship, and to my co-fellows Qurat- ul -ain, Komal Sindhu, and Zara Bhayo for their immense support throughout this journey I also wish my fellow alumni all the best for their future, and I strongly believe that together we can create a stronger Pakistan! #ThePledge #TeachForPakistan #AlumniInduction #Leadership #ReadyToLead #FlipTheScript
