Closed, DeclinedPublic8 Estimated Story Points

Description

The party is happening at meta:Research:Visual editor for anonymous users, 2016.

Issues to address

  • When we do IP + UA fingerprinting, how many IP addresses get edits from more than 1 but fewer than 5 users? (to help @csteipp evaluate the security risks of releasing the study data when it's done)

I just discussed this with @Jdforrester-WMF. This will remain tabled until the English Wikipedia switches to an default-VE configuration for anons (or until we decide to go do it on another wiki like Spanish Wikipedia) and until we complete T104479: Provide a modern wikitext editor .

So the planning covered by this task may not be needed until 2017.

The parent task has already been declined.
