The Sultanate of Oman is participating in the World Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition 2024, the largest hydrogen-focused Exhibition, taking place in Rotterdam, Netherlands from May 13-15. During the summit, Oman will showcase its vision to become one of the largest exporters of low-carbon hydrogen. The high-level Omani delegation includes senior officials from Oman’s Ministry of Energy and Minerals, Ministry of Transport, The Sultanate’s Embassy in the Netherlands, alongside a consortium of Oman’s biggest hydrogen-focused players including, #Hydrom and OQ. Hydrogen Oman (Hydrom) organized the second meeting of Oman’s Green Hydrogen Sector Advisory Board, with the participation of green hydrogen project developers in the Al Wusta and Dhofar governorates. This meeting aims to enhance cooperation and integration among stakeholders to boost Oman's green hydrogen economy and address sector challenges. The meeting was chaired by H.E. Eng. Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals and Chairman of the company, along with the Hydrom Managing Director and the CEOs and project managers of the green hydrogen project companies. نظمت شركة هيدروجين عُمان (هايدروم) اليوم الاجتماع الثاني للمجلس الاستشاري لقطاع الهيدروجين الأخضر بالسلطنة بمشاركة مطوري مشاريع الهيدروجين الأخضر في كل من محافظتي الوسطى وظفار. ويأتي هذا الاجتماع في إطار تعزيز التعاون والتكامل بين الأطراف المعنية للمساهمة في تعزيز اقتصاد الهيدروجين الأخضر في سلطنة عُمان والمساهمة في تكاملية الأدوار وحلحلة تحديات القطاع. حيث ترأس الاجتماع معالي المهندس سالم بن ناصر العوفي وزير الطاقة والمعادن، رئيس مجلس إدارة الشركة إلى جانب حضور المدير العام للشركة والرؤساء التنفيذيين للشركات المطورة لمشاريع الهيدروجين الأخضر.

We recently hosted an Ecosystem Readiness workshop led by HE Eng. Salim Nasser Al Aufi Ministry of Energy and Minerals, uniting key players from the energy, logistics, and services sectors to ensure Oman’s preparedness for its ambitious green hydrogen production targets. The workshop aimed to unify permit procedures, enhance logistics, and prepare a skilled workforce through comprehensive training programs. It also focused on strengthening contractor capabilities and fostering international partnerships to support Oman’s shift to a hydrogen-centric economy. استضفنا مؤخرًا حلقة عمل حول جاهزية منظومة الهيدروجين الأخضر بحضور معالي المهندس سالم بن ناصر العوفي، وبمشاركة قادة ورواد قطاعات الطاقة واللوجستيات والخدمات لضمان جاهزية عُمان لتحقيق مستهدفات إنتاج الهيدروجين الأخضر.   وهدفت حلقة العمل إلى توحيد الجهود واتساق إجراءات التصاريح، وتحسين الخدمات اللوجستية، وتأهيل وإعداد قوى عاملة عبر برامج تأهيلية شاملة. كما ركزت على تطوير إمكانات وقدرات المقاولين والبحث عن فرص للشراكات مع المقاولين الدوليين لدعم تحول عُمان إلى اقتصاد يعتمد على الهيدروجين الأخضر.

On the third and final day of #WorldHydrogen2024, the Omani delegation, along with #Hydrom and OQ, paid a site visit to the Port of Amsterdam. This visit highlights the ongoing collaboration following the signing of a Joint Study Agreement at #COP28, aiming to develop a liquid hydrogen route to market. This initiative establishes the #PortOfAmsterdam as the primary gateway for Omani-produced green hydrogen into the European market, aligning with Oman's commitment to a sustainable hydrogen ecosystem. #OmanInWHS24 في أخر يوم لقمة الهيدروجين العالمية، قام فريق هايدروم ووحدة أوكيو للطاقة البديلة بزيارة ميناء امستردام وذلك بهدف بحث سبل تعاون مشترك جديدة على غرار اتفاقية الدراسة المشتركة التي تم توقيعها في #COP28، بهدف التعاون على تطوير ممر للهيدروجين السائل يربط بين سلطنة عمان والأسواق العالمية للهيدروجين الأخضر حيث من المؤمل ان يصبح ميناء أمستردام بوابة رئيسية للهيدروجين الأخضر العماني إلى السوق الأوروبية. #قمة_الهيدروجين_2024 #عُمان_في_قمة_الهيدروجين_2024
