Nedstack is pleased to announce the continuation of our cooperation with MARIN (Maritime Research Institute Netherlands), who have developed a Zero Emissions Lab (ZEL) to test power, propulsion, and energy (PPE) concepts for the maritime industry. We have contributed our 40 kW PEM fuel cell, running on compressed hydrogen, to this initiative. This cooperation is an important step in advancing the integration of fuel cells in maritime applications, helping the industry move closer to its zero-emission goals. Original Post Translation: MARIN has developed a Zero Emissions Lab to test power, propulsion, and energy (PPE) concepts for the maritime industry. Recently, a 40 kW PEM fuel cell from Nedstack was added to the ZEL. The fuel cell runs on compressed hydrogen. This allows MARIN to gain knowledge on integrating a fuel cell into a ship, how to control such a system, and how it responds under various loads. Additionally, it enables measurement of the auxiliary power required for a fuel cell, such as cooling, air-blower, etc. MARIN aims to assist the industry in achieving zero-emission targets. #ZeroEmission #CleanEnergy #FuelCells #SustainableMaritime

• Looking back at this week, we revisit a great Tuesday, on which we not only revealed our new fuel cell, but also the Ms Antonie is now officially in service. The ms Antonie is powered by hydrogen fuel cells. The significance of this event was magnified by the presence of His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, adding royal recognition to the pioneering strides in sustainable shipping. Congratulations to NPRC for their instrumental role in achieving this groundbreaking milestone. Witnessing the launch of 'ms Antonie' was a thrill from the sidelines, and NPRC's dedication to clean energy solutions is truly commendable. The WEVA project is a collaborative initiative led by Concordia Damen Shipbuilding in partnership with CCM3, Nedstack Fuel Cell Technology, Nobian, HEAVENN, Koedood Marine Group, and client Lenten Scheepvaart BV, among other contributors. Its implementation has been facilitated, in part, through funding from the Ministerie van Infrastructuur en Waterstaat.
