It demonstrates how AI brings a quantum leap to visual inspection, as Marvin Krebs, Director Technical Sales at Xactools, explains: "Without artificial intelligence, the creation of part families and defect detection would be completely unthinkable. With rule-based image processing, the robot would also recognize parts within the standard range as NOK and sort them out." Line scanning is a highly specialised task in industrial image processing – however, it is not always necessary to use a dedicated line scan camera! How does this work? IDS enables you to use many of our cameras together with a line scan camera mode. This means that you can use your area camera for tasks such as scanning documents, sorting mail and even inspecting railway tracks. This can often be more economical than choosing a purpose-built line scan camera 💡 We recently held a session on this topic in our Vision Channel. Für Flammkuchen stellt man sich doch gerne an - aber Moment, wie lange dauert die Wartezeit denn nun tatsächlich? 😅 Dass man sich dafür nicht auf sein Bauchgefühl verlassen muss, hat das Ferdinand-Steinbeis-Institut vor kurzem bei der Nacht der Wissensstadt in #Heilbronn unter Beweis gestellt. Während der Veranstaltung konnten Wissbegierige mehr als 80 interaktive Programme am Bildungscampus der Hochschule Heilbronn - Hochschule für Technik, Wirtschaft und Informatik entdecken - und sich ein gratis Stück Flammkuchen abholen. Zwei unserer IDS NXT malibu Kameras hatten die Warteschlange datenschutzkonform im Blick, wodurch sich die Wartezeit exakt berechnen ließ.
