What is tree vigor and why is it so important? 🌳 “Tree vigor refers to the #growth rate and overall #health of a tree” However, despite a vigorous tree may seem what we would all desire, excessive #vigor can directly impact fruit #quality and #yield, resulting in: 🍐poor fruit development 📉a reduced #yield Then, what is the solution? Growth regulation 👆 It can be done through several practices like #spraying, root pruning or applying #fertilizer to the trees. All of them with the goal to: - reduce the number of shoots and allowing all the energy to go towards healthy fruits - improve light by opening the canopy and allowing sunlight to color the fruits We provide growers with per tree level vigor maps to assist in monitoring the status of their orchards and make precise decisions to improve the health of their trees.

Despite the initial uncertainty with the weather, Friday's Perendag event turned out to be a fantastic #experience! 🙌 We had the pleasure of engaging in very #interesting discussions with attendees from both local areas and #international visitors, that reinforced the willingness and drive of growers to invest in precision #farming. We also participated in the demonstration area with our TreeScout alongside other precision #machinery. We’re very excited to announce we’ve #successfully closed our series A #investment to further scale deployments of our TreeScout! Since the start of 2024, we’ve deployed our tractor-mounted sensor system in multiple European markets, helping growers with tree-level execution of farm applications throughout the season. The investment will fund the continuous #development of new applications for the TreeScout.   Joining existing pre-Series A investor Pymwymic, a Netherlands-based impact investor, a consortium of ROM Utrecht Region, Knop Ventures, Goeie Grutten Impact Fonds and BarUni Family Fund. Regenerative Agriculture is gaining attention as a tool to reduce the #environmental #impact of farming and also in orchards. One of the key aspects of RegenAg is soil health 🌱 Aurea Imaging is developing a new product to map #soil #health based on our tree #vigour maps. Zonation of vigour maps might help us better #understand soil patterns & variation. Strategic #soil sampling of the different zones will generate insights into relationships between soil and trees, which can be used to plan for agronomic improvements that lead to higher fruit yield, more robust trees, and of course healthier soil.
