Senior Network Engineer at a SaaS provider in Louisville, KY.
I'm a big fan of Layer 3 routing over Layer 2 switching, stateless over stateful, discoverable over documented, Brocade/Foundry over Cisco, Juniper over Cisco, HP Procurve over Cisco, basically anyone over Cisco. I'm a big fan of using BGP, even within the Enterprise-style network that I run. I like /32s and /128s and see no reason to be afraid of having a lot of them in your routing tables. I am pushing routing out to the edge of the network, and beyond, by running routing protocol daemons on many of the Linux servers on our network.
