Motherland Chronicles is a fantasy artbook project by Jingna Zhang and Tobias Kwan. Launched in 2013, the series took shape with the goal of simply creating a new image weekly. Jingna Zhang is a Beijing-born, Singapore-raised fashion and fine art photographer living in Seattle and New York City. She is a Forbes Asia 30 Under 30 listmaker.
Jingna’s works have been featured in international editions of Vogue, Elle and Harper's Bazaar; her clients include Sony, Canon, Mercedes Benz, and Penguin Random House.
Jingna's projects include an artistic portrait photography course on Learn Squared and producing the Motherland Chronicles series and its products.
Tobias Kwan is a freelance illustrator and concept artist living in Seattle.
His previous work include God of War: Ghost of Sparta, The Order: 1886, and the GazettE's DOGMA album covers. His work include Bungie’s Destiny 2, Oculus VR's Lone Echo, and cooperative board game Kingdom Death.
Tobias' clients include Amazon Publishing, Riot Games, Wizards of the Coast, Sony Music Japan, Ready At Dawn Studios, Games Workshop, The GazettE, Sideshow Collectibles, Oakley, Chair Entertainment, and Mattel.
