Issues with an ArWiki sysob

Cross-wiki vandalism from IP User

Not sure if this is the right place to report this issue. There is an IP user that has been vandalizing many projects, posting nonsense about the "Zapatiztaz" (sic) and generally writing "me vale verga" (roughly translates to "I don't give a fuck") as edit summary. The user mostly posts in Spanish projects such as es.wikiquote and es.wikisource, in addition to multilingual projects like Wikispecies, Commons, and Wikidata (where I first came across them). However, the disruption has spread to places such as ru.wikinews, fa.wikipedia, and eo.wikiquote. Here are some of the recent IP addresses used:

@FlyingAce: Yes, a request for a global block should be place at SRG. I would suggest that you request 2600:387:F:4633:0:0:0:0/64 instead of the individual IPs. Please tell stewards that there is 2+ months of abuse showing nd that it is xwiki. Set e-mail for my bot account

I've forgotten the login password to my bot account, last used in 2016, and apparently there is no e-mail address set, so the usual way to reset the password doesn't work. I'm User:LA2 and the bot account is User:LA2-bot. What I need is for someone to copy the e-mail address that is set for LA2 to the account LA2-bot. I was told a local admin can't solve this, only a steward can. So is this really my bot account or am I trying to steal it, you ask? Several admins on sv.wikipedia should be able to verify my claim. Between 2007 and 2016, LA2-bot has done 432,564 edits on en.wiktionary and 212,700 on sv.wikipedia. --LA2 (talk) 19:16, 7 October 2021 (UTC)

Unblock on one-man Wiki

I have made two edits to a one-man, one admin wiki. I removed a file so that it could be deleted on Commons. The user did not like this, and blocked me indefinitely without any way of doing anything about it. How can this (abuse) be reversed? GPinkerton (talk) 21:55, 8 October 2021 (UTC)

Hi,

I don't know if i'm at the right place, but there is lot of vandalism/spam on pl.wikimedia that haven't been cleaned.

There are lots on page to deletes (user talk pages that are vandalism, or simple spam pages), and I don't think it's a global sysop wiki.

Mon Wiktionary and Mon Wikipedia for help with defense

Anonymous IP account holder has been harassing Mon Wiktionary to this day since 15 June 2021, now, on August 27, 2021, Mon Wikipedia is being harassed again. We request that you permanently block this User:96.4.165.61 IP account from Mon Wiktionary and Mon Wikipedia. Admins from Mon Wiktionary and Mon Wikipedia are not yet proficient in using Mon Wiktionary and Mon Wikipedia, which is a weakness for Mon Wiktionary and Mon Wikipedia defense. I would like to request that you turn off editing with an IP account for Mon Wiktionary and Mon Wikipedia protection. I want to do a lot of work for Mon Wiktionary and Mon Wikipedia defense, but since I am not an administrator, I have no authority to do anything for Mon Wiktionary and Mon Wikipedia defense, if possible, I should be given some authority to defend Mon Wiktionary and Mon Wikipedia, as a Mon people, I would like to take on the responsibilities of Mon Wiktionary and Mon Wikipedia. Recently jvwiki and jvwiktionary project namespace has been renamed. We want to hide the Main Page title as we had before. As per this and this, please update jv:MediaWiki:Vector.css and jv:MediaWiki:Monobook.css from "page-Wikipedia_Pendhapa" to "page-Wikipédia_Pendhapa", and wikt:jv:MediaWiki:Common.css from "page-Wiktionary_Pendhapa" to "page-Wikisastra_Pendhapa". Images with a kind of nationalist license

In Wikipedia in Aragonese there is a category of 210 non-free images that (in addition, and this is the problem) by indication of their author, can only be used in WP in Aragonese (Aragón is a region of Spain in which only 1% of the inhabitants speak this language, while 100% speak Spanish). If it didn't have that condition, they could be used in all other WP projects that support non free images, as English WP (and Spanish WP if they eventually admit that kind of images). Limiting its use to the ar.wikipedia.org subdomain consist in a kind of nationalist license, and therefore is contrary to the universalist spirit of Wikipedia, whose principles are clearly committed to defending the equality of all human beings regardless of their race, language, etc. I have asked the three active administrators of WP:AN to remove them (conversation in Spanish and Aragonese), but they are opposed to doing so. The subdomain ar.wikipedia.org does not belong to them, but to the community of wikipedia.org. I ask the general administrators of WP to prohibit the use of images with a nationalist license in the Aragonese WP and in all others. Thank you. --Pompilos (talk) 16:46, 22 October 2021 (UTC)

@Pompilos: Hello. First thing is "general administrators of WP" don't exist, each project is autonomous and has it own sysops and procedures. Second, the copyright holder of a file has the right to decide what can be done with their files (this is the definition of copyright), so if they wish share these files only on anwiki, this is their right, we can't force anyone to accept any type of license. However, anwiki is also free to decide accept or not accept this type of files, but this discussion should be done there on anwiki, because as I said before, each project is autonomous to take decisions, so I don't see any action for a steward here. A tip: try contact the author of these files about upload them to Commons, this will be great! @Stanglavine: Hello. I am aware that the copyright holder is free to share them only on anwiki (and I know that he doesn't want to upload them to Commons). What I disagree with is that administrators of anwiki accept this “poisoned gift”. Let's suppose the license said that “these images may be used only to illustrate biographies of white people”. In that case, would you still think that administrators are free to accept the images? We do not accept racism, but we do accept linguistic nationalism? @King of Hearts: In progress… However, note that unlike deletions, big undeletions aren't a steward-only task (technically you'd be able to do it too). MW cannot batch undeletions like it can with undeletions, so you need to undelete multiple times (see my logs). • This request seems a bit erroneous. @Masssly: "autoconfirmed" is not an assignable usergroup, perhaps you meant "confirmed"? However, w:dag:Diŋ'gahim:UserRights/ListeriaBot shows that this account is already in the autoconfirmed group on that project and that that group confers skipcaptcha access, which should moot this request. — xaosflux ^Talk 15:10, 26 October 2021 (UTC)

"Autoconfirmed" user right is not human-managed (there are exceptions but let's forget about complexities) and thus cannot be granted by Stewards. If there are problem with bot, contact bot operator and they'll know what to do (including SRB). — regards, Revi 23:49, 28 October 2021 (UTC)
