Request to copy Common.css from plwiki to szlwiki

(Redirected from GR) Hi, I'd like to request copying Polish common.css to Silesian common.css. I've asked the admin of the Silesian Wikipedia to do it not knowing he doesn't have permissions for it, so he sent me here.

No changes are necessary since we port templates from the Polish Wikipedia. I've already checked if the stylesheet works by using it as a personal CSS and everything looks okay. --Uostofchuodnego (talk) 15:36, 31 August 2019 (UTC)

Password and my account

Hello, I have been contributing to Wikipedia for about a year without logging out. And now I realized that I can’t remember the password and enter my e-mail, because it was not filled during registration, and now entering a new one requires "you need to confirm your identity" password. Kookdans, Since you're currently logged in your account, you can be able to change the password. Go to w:ru:Special:PasswordReset and use it to get new (temporary) password in your email. Then use that password to create personal, stronger one. –Ammarpad (talk) 15:15, 1 September 2019 (UTC)

No E-mail and no password ist very bad. You can try to recover your account via Wikimedia. By thy 2FA, the wikimedia offer to remove the second factor. Maybe they will find a way to recover your account in your case as well. There is no other option.--WikiBayer 👤💬 18:26, 1 September 2019 (UTC)

There are some problems in Zazaki Wikipedia, we should resolve them but as local admins, we aren't entitled to do so

1. There is no title from the wikipedia, free encyclopedia on the top of any article in Zazaki Wikipedia.
2. Another problem arises on the tab, there are quotation marks on every articles of Zazaki wikipedia on the tab, there are not quotation marks on any other wikipedia
3. There is no Zazaki language's local names on the 'other languages' button, I mean Zazaki is Zazaki in all other language buttons, not in local names such as Zazaish (en), zazaca (turkish ) etc, third problem arises on 'read in other languages' part, on the bottom left of the page. Vuzorg, I have fixed the quotes thing: diq:MediaWiki:Pagetitle, but then I realised that you only need regular admin rights to edit that. So could you add the from Wikipedia string yourself, please? It is diq:Mediawiki:Tagline. Tip, if you append "?uselang=qqx" to any Wikipedia page URL you will see the page with interface message names rather than the messages themselves. So to be precise to display the tagline a CSS rule had to be added, what I initially thought was the problem was actually the rule about the main page, but that rule had a typo so it didn't work when I added the tagline. HIGH PRIORITY: Closure of Bulgarian Wikinews

See Proposals for closing projects/Deletion of Bulgarian Wikinews and phab:T233322. The latter has the link to the confirmation from the Board.
As a first step, we need access to the wiki mainly blocked, and then for someone to do some substantial cleanup. There is someone who will do that, and/or will guide stewards on that. Question I raised at Phabricator and repeat here: What is the best way to do this?

• Can stewards full-protect the project? Then sysop flag can be withdrawn from all but the one sysop who will do the cleanup.
• Alternatively, should project be locked from Phabricator, then this same sysop be given some flag that will get around that (local steward, briefly? something else?)?

Edit request for dk-wikimedia's common.css

The wiki for Wikimedia Denmark does not have any interface administrators, and in the interest of not cluttering up the common.css, I'm trying to use TemplateStyles instead when neccessary. However, I need to hide the header of the page Vedtægter, something which I believe can only be done on the Common.css-level. The following code block needs to be edited:

I think the following should do it, but if a Steward with CSS knowledge knows better, feel free to alter it as neccessary. If there's a way to do it without editing Common.css that would be fine as well, but I haven't been able to find one.

The WMDK wiki is generally used as a website for the association and a workspace for the members, which in practice means that certain decisions regarding the site are made by the Board (see Appendix I to the Rules of Order), which is why no link to a community consensus has been provided. Other bg.wn articles not having copyvio issues

Same with n:bg:Раул Кастро (created Dec 2016), which looks like some stub Bulgarian encyclopedic article about Raul Castro. It doesn't tell news or explain something that is newsworthy.

n:bg:Празници appears to be a Bulgarian definition of wikt:en:holiday, so it should belong, i.e. be transferred, to Bulgarian Wiktionary. Doesn't look newsworthy, especially for ru.wn.

I don't know whether some article about an open letter to a local government (n:bg:Варненски НПО разпространиха отворено писмо до институциите) is up to journalistic standards, and I don't know whether ru.wn would accept it. George Ho (talk) 18:18, 28 September 2019 (UTC)
