Ruslik, it looks like almost all of the files are eligible for copyright, except for one or two text logos. MBisanz talk 13:33, 4 August 2016 (UTC)
In aswiki, there is no clear EDP so my opinion is that under the wmf:Resolution:Licensing policy, we can act on that project if local users with appropriate rights are unavailable to do so where necessary. In case of mswiki, they have clear EDP so it's up to them whether they host unused non-free files or not. Though most of the project where EDP exist, they're routinely cleaning non-free unused files. ~ Nahid Talk 14:30, 10 September 2016 (UTC)

OAuth approval request for WikiEduDashboard-local

Status:    Done

Interning with the WikiEduDashboard team for Outreachy Round-14. Working on allowing the Programs and Events dashboard to make automatic edits on connected wikis. Registering an OAuth consumer is a prerequisite for my investigation and changes. All requested grants and permissions according to those suggested by Project mentor and the Project Readme.

Medha is working with me on this Outreachy project, and needs to be able to log in and make test edits with several different test accounts. Blatant BLP violation contrary to the Wiki Terms of Use and other basic Wiki rules and request for deletion of page "Janevistan"

I would like to bring to your attention the case related to recently banned user Kolega2357 by Akeron and James Alexander form WMF[1] from Serbo-Croatian Wikipedia [2] who actively contributed in the creation of the admin. protected Nazi page "Janevistan" [3]. I was surprised to learn that one of the Wiki. projects, namely Serbo-Croatian Wikipedia, was involved in harmful and politically motivated actions with the apparent serious offences against the national symbols of the Republic of Macedonia and particularly insults relating to the Constitutional name of the Republic of Macedonia. May I kindly ask you to place a template for deletion on the page "Janevistan” [4], on the grounds of serious and blatant BLP violation of the Wiki rules and insults to the Macedonian state (Republic of Macedonia) and Macedonian people, as well as personal offences (Wikipedia Terms of Use offences, insults and mockery about Macedonia and Macedonians, misuse of Wiki. space etc.). If you place that template for deletion on harmful “Janevistan”, I am convinced that User:Orijentolog (the author of the text) from Serbo-Croatian Wikipedia will perhaps show a minimum good will and delete this (search visible) insulting page. There were three requests to delete the Janevistan[7] without any results, but instead the outcome was blocking of initiator of requests for three months by administrator (under „agresive“ behaviour), and also talk page for Janevistan was admin. removed, and the page itself was protected to the maximum possible level by administrator.

  • As I can see here [9] there were at least four requests to delete the "Janevistan"! Besides, one should mention that as a result of Nazi ideology more than two million people died in former Yugoslavia during Second World War, and as a result of racial extremism (Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Montenegro) there were hundreds of thousands of victims after Second World War to the present day! The complaint was made by Macedonian mk.wiki administrator Ehrlich91 to sh.wiki under section “Објаснување“ [10], were he was not only ignored, but they made fun of him too. He said: “Откако ми ја посочија статијава која денес е создадена на корисничка страница, ве молам за објаснување за статијава и како воопшто вакво нешто може да постои на една Википедија?“ that translated in Eng: “After I was informed about article at the user page, please explain your action how something like this thing could exist on any Wikipedia?“. Not done shwiki is well staffed to handle this on their own. Stewards will not get involved in this. Having asked a native serbocroatian speaker, the article indeed is a mockery of some sort and/or a fake article, but shwiki has their own administrators that can delete that page if they're asked to. According to that source there are no national-socialism remarks either. So please ask in shwiki if you wish that page deleted because we are not allowed to delete that with our current policies.Thanks for your understanding. —MarcoAurelio 12:26, 14 June 2017 (UTC)

Cross-wiki full protection of user pages and user talk pages by Globally banned users

I've already explained at Commons why this is a bad idea [12]. Especially in the case of Russavia, we have an editor who uploaded several hundred thousand images. These images have duplicates, derivative copyright violations, project scope issues, etc. We have quite a few editors and admins on Commons who monitor Russavia's talk for deletion notifications and other image-related messages. We have other banned users who uploaded many images to Commons, and so protecting any talk pages fully would interfere with notifications. I've never seen any vandalism on these pages, and most of the banned editors are inactive on Commons (even Russavia doesn't edit his main account's talk with socks), as well as being completely inactive on all projects. For remove the user pages

Hello. I want to remove the all my user pages (include talk pages and subpages) of all wiki projects, because of I don't want korean puppets to know this user name change. (If username change is finished, I hope to undelete of talk pages that contains at least one content does not contain only template welcome at all wikis, using the copy & paste or others─if possible; I don't know that deletion of history log in mediawiki is possible or not─) So is this possible? Pages marked for deletion at knwikisource

Can a steward please delete the pages created by 2602:306:cff3:e900:28dc:b57e:9bbd:1ac4 at knwikisource? They were all marked for speedy deletion on June 7th by a user who used to be a former temporary admin on that wiki (now no admins over there). Might also want to look through s:kn:Category:ಅಳಿಸುವಿಕೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಲಾಗಿರುವ ಲೇಖನಗಳು, where other pages marked for deletion are listed; a few seem like no-brainers and others probably require a steward who knows the language to make a judgment call. "ಖಾಲಿ ಪುಟ" means "Empty page", according to Google Translate. All of the IP editor's contributions are tagged with the same reason. (Among the "no-brainers", the most obvious is s:kn:ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಮತ್ತು ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ, which consists entirely of the word "Hi".) - dcljr (talk) 01:20, 27 June 2017 (UTC)

All local mediawiki messages on got.wikipedia.org should be deleted

We have a problem because translations done in translatewik aren't correctly viewed. The problem is countless incorrect local mediawiki messages, which can be viewed in green:

I now at least deleted the ones that had content identical to the default (translatewiki) message. The remaining ones are those with a different version. Some of the local ones however have a translation where the default is still English, but I of course have no idea whether they are correct. SPQRobin (talk) 14:41, 3 October 2016 (UTC)
The problem is that our local messages overwrite the Translatewiki ones. The remaining ones with a different version should be deleted too, that means wht's in yellow should be removed and what's in green kept. Bokareis (talk) 13:16, 6 October 2016 (UTC)
