The Debrune were a Vulcanoid race who were one of the many species that developed as a result of the Romulan Diaspora. (TNG episode: "Gambit")

When the Romulans' early ancestors departed the Vulcan homeworld, they went on an exodus to find a new planet to call home. After passing many planets, a dissident movement formed which was led by Admiral Debrune who made colonies on several of the planets the fleet had passed but these only lasted for several centuries during the 4th century. Planets such as Barradas III and Calder II were two such planets settled by the Debrune. (Last Unicorn RPG module: The Way of D'era: The Romulan Star Empire)

During the early exodus of the Debrune, a splinter fleet led by Vice-Admiral Torek entered the Rigel system where they went into orbit around Rigel V. Torek and his Vulcan forces later subjugated that planet and made it their homeworld which led to the formation of the Rigelian civilization on that world. (Decipher RPG module: Worlds)

Under the command of Captain Demora Sulu, the crew of the USS Enterprise-B spent two years charting the Debrune ruins in the Barradas system. This mission took place after the Tomed Incident. (ST reference: USS Enterprise Owners' Workshop Manual)
