This fleet, commanded by Captain William T. Riker on the USS Zheng He, arrived at Coppelius in 2399 to defend the androids living there from a fleet of Romulan warbirds. (PIC: "Et in Arcadia Ego, Part 2")
Frontier Day 2401 []
The fleet assembled to celebrate the 250th Frontier Day
22 Class vessels, including the USS Magellan, were involved in fleet maneuvers to celebrate the 250th Frontier Day. They were commandeered after officers under the age of 25 were placed under the influence of the Borg with the help of Jack Crusher. Several were lost in the incident and in the aftermath, at least one was seen wrecked in the debris field in Earth orbit. (PIC: "Võx", "The Last Generation")
The total number of Inquiry-class vessels present at Frontier Day was established by former Picard Research Assistant Jörg Hillebrand. [1]
Two other class vessels that were purportedly present as well at Frontier Day were according to Hillebrand's superior, Production Designer Dave Blass, the USS Maui (NCC-96761) (β), [2] and USS Toussaint (NCC-87111) (β) [3] even though they were not confirmed on the onscreen Frontier Day graphics seen in these episodes. These two vessels incidentally, had in 2021 received individual bonus issue outings under their own name in the Star Trek Universe: The Official Starships Collection display model/magazine partwork from Eaglemoss Collections, thereby implying that they had already been a part of Riker's fleet at Coppelius.
