The Tyrus VIIA research station was a Tyran research station located in orbit of the moon Tyrus VIIA.

This station was used for testing a radically new and highly innovative mining technology known as a particle fountain, the brainchild of Tyran Doctor Farallon, who began work on the project in 2363. (TNG: "The Quality of Life")
Specifications[]
The particle fountain was generated by the station core, which was fed by multiple power grids, building particle flux within a confinement field which contains the particle stream.
One of the key components of the station was its main particle impeller, as well as its numerous field generators. Problems with the phase selectors were the primary cause for the station not to be able to reach its full capacity.
To initiate the emergency shut down routine required the activation of the station's ionic dampers. (TNG: "The Quality of Life")

Station core chamber[]
The station core chamber was the main operations center aboard the station. Aside from the station core itself, the chamber contained a transporter pad and console. The room was also equipped with field emitters and Tucker tubes.
For the interior, the script described that "the station core is unfinished, with equipment consoles scattered about. In several places, the walls are cut through with holes which lead away to access tunnels deep within the station. A transporter pad and console are in one corner. In the center of the floor is a large, glowing circular core (similar to the Enterprise's warp core)."
The "lateral neon "blinky" units" (aka "Tucker tubes") that appeared in the lab were reused from the Regula I lab in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. (Star Trek: The Next Generation Companion, 1st ed., p. 227)
The station's power grids were down the various conduits that attached to the core chamber. One of which was located behind four bulkheads, two hundred meters from the station core chamber, down conduit A2. The station also had its plasma conduits located in one of the station's access tunnels attached to the core chamber. (TNG: "The Quality of Life")

The name "Tyrus VIIA station" appeared in an okudagram seen at Data's science station on the bridge of the Enterprise. This graphic was put up for auction in 2018. [1]
