The Rekags were one of two rival factions on the planet Rekag-Seronia (or Seronia).
By 2369, the conflict between the Rekags and their rival faction, the Seronians, had grown to such an acute level that a Federation shipping route was threatened. The Federation dispatched Ambassador Ves Alkar to mediate the dispute, held in the city of Darthen. Alkar was ultimately successful in bringing peace between the Rekags and the Seronians.
