Romulan Relocation Hub, 2385

The North Station settlement on Vashti, 2399

North Station was a settlement on the Romulan Relocation Hub and colony planet Vashti. Points of interest included a marketplace and the Romulan Social Club. Within walking distance of the station was a "house of truth" belonging to the Qowat Milat.

This station was visited by Jean-Luc Picard many times in the 2380s, most notably in the days before the 2385 Attack on Mars, and, again, in 2399. (PIC: "Absolute Candor")

Background information[]

The name of this station was written on a sign affixed to the Romulan Social Club. The North Station settlement, referred to as "Vashti Town" in production materials, was filmed at the Universal Studios Backlot – Little Mexico on 3-6 June 2019.[1]

Star Trek: Picard Assistant Art Director Shannon Walsh coordinated much of the conversion of the Little Mexico backlot into the Vashti Town, including planning signage locations, the replacement of Romulan door-handles, and which building facades would be used. According to production notes, three set locations included "Zahl Makh" (Romulan Meditation Room, flashback and present), "The Gregarious Gorn" tavern (bilingual in flashback, Romulan only in present), and the "United Federation of Planets (UFP) High Commission on Refugees (HCR) (in flashback only), replaced in present by "Romulan Renewal Party HQ" in the present.[2]
