In the 2360s, Admiral Piller was a member of Starfleet Command in the Yoyodyne Division at the 40 Eridani A Starfleet Construction Yards during the construction of the USS Prometheus. (DS9: "Second Sight", dedication plaque)

In 2363, Admiral Piller was a member of the Exploratory Division in the Yoyodyne Division at 40 Eridani A Starfleet Construction Yards during the construction of the USS Phoenix. (TNG: "The Wounded", dedication plaque) Later the same year, he was one of the Starfleet Command officers at the Utopia Planitia Ship Yards whose name later appeared on the 2368 updated dedication plaque for the USS Enterprise-D. In 2367, he was again with Fleet Operations with San Francisco Fleet Yards' Yoyodyne Propulsion Systems at the time of the construction of the USS Sutherland. (TNG: "Redemption II", dedication plaque)

In 2370, he was one of the Starfleet Command officers at Antares Ship Yards during the construction of the USS Defiant. (DS9: "The Die is Cast", dedication plaque)

He was listed as a member of Starfleet Command at the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards on the dedication plaque of the USS Odyssey. This plaque was made for the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "The Jem'Hadar", but did not make an appearance in the episode.
