Ivonne Perez Montijo (born 1 December) is an author and actress who worked as background actress on episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and appeared due to re-used footage also in the Star Trek: Enterprise episode "These Are the Voyages...". In addition, she worked as a cover stand-in for Marina Sirtis during the last two seasons of The Next Generation. Perez was interviewed for the Skywalking Through Neverland podcast, episode 11 "Oh, The Weather Outside Is Frozen" on 9 December 2013 where she told that she went through three auditions for The Next Generation until she was picked to appear as a burgundy-uniformed crewmember. She worked many scene in Ten Forward but also several bridge scenes and could be identified by her long, red hair. She also spoke about one occasion where she almost passed out while in civilian costume with an antennae-like hairstyle during a Ten Forward scene. [2]

Perez has started her acting career at the age of 18 and appeared in episodes of CBS Afternoon Playhouse (1981, episode "I Think I'm Having a Baby" with David Birney), Paradise (1988-1990, with Dorothy Hack), Cheers (1989, with Kirstie Alley, Kelsey Grammer, David B. Levinson, Keith Rayve, Joel Schultz, Lorine Mendell, Melba Gonzalez, Michael Zurich, Michael Braveheart, Rebecca Soladay, Bebe Neuwirth, Joseph Paz, Mark Reilly, John Rice, Casey Kono, Lee Allen, Lee Faranda, Mark Lentry, Cole McKay, Gene Poe, and Lynn Salvatori), Falcon Crest (1989, with Castulo Guerra, Allan G. Royal, Ryan MacDonald, Morgan Nagler, Angela Paton, and Juan De Villa), Quantum Leap, and L.A. Law during the last two seasons. She played a pregnant woman in Ghost Dad (1990, with Dakin Matthews, Eric Menyuk, and Jeanne Mori). Most recently, she worked as background actress on the first season of the comedy series Mr. Mayor (2021, with Benito Martinez and Ed Begley, Jr.).

She has a BA in Spanish/Spanish Literature with a minor in theatre and film from the UCLA. She also has a Masters Degree in religious studies from Cal State Long Beach. Perez has also been a certified yoga teacher, 3rd degree reiki master, and a Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique practitioner. [3]

She wrote, starred in, and co-produced the play Rosa, Juan, La Virgen & Flan and the short film Deseo. As an author, she wrote the books "The Illusionist: My Love Affair With A Sociopath" (2017), "Mary Magdalene: Beloved Wife, Beloved Disciple" (2017), and "Wisdom, Asherah , & The Tree of Life" (2021).
