Melba Gonzalez

Melba Gonzalez is a former actress who worked as additional stand-in and photo double for Marina Sirtis on several episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation.

She also appeared as a technician aboard the USS Sutherland in the fifth season episode "Redemption II" for which she filmed her scenes on Friday 12 July 1991 on Paramount Stage 9 as indicated by the call sheet and continuity Polaroid. An additional appearances was in the episode "Power Play" as a hostage in Ten Forward. The call sheet for this day of filming listed her as "Photo Double ND Stunt Crew" as she worked as photo double for stuntwoman Rosine "Ace" Hatem who previously appeared in a scene in the same costume. Gonzalez later appeared as a command officer in several episodes of the fifth season.

According to a makeup and hair continuity Polaroid Gonzalez filmed scenes for the sixth season episode "Descent" though she did not appear in the final episode. Continuity Polaroids of Gonzales in a wig were taken for "Timescape". Gonzalez also worked as additional cover stand-in for Roxann Biggs-Dawson on the Star Trek: Voyager first season episode "Parallax" during the absence of regular stand-in Nora Leonhardt.

Besides her work on Star Trek, Gonzalez appeared as a bar patron in the Cheers episodes "The Last Angry Mailman" and "Bidding on the Boys" (1987, with Kirstie Alley, Kelsey Grammer, Bebe Neuwirth, Rebecca Soladay, Mark Reilly, Joseph Paz, Robert Daniels, and Lee Allen) and "A Bar Is Born" (1989, with Kirstie Alley, Kelsey Grammer, Lee Allen, Rebecca Soladay, John Rice, David B. Levinson, Michael Wilkinson, Lorine Mendell, Natalie Wood, and Casey Kono) and as a Mexican waitress in the Cheers episode "One Happy Chappy in a Snappy Serape" (1988, with Kirstie Alley, Kelsey Grammer, Alex Nevil, Mark Reilly, Lee Allen, Rudy Morrison, Rebecca Soladay, Joseph Paz, Uriah Carr, Richard Sarstedt, and Michael Braveheart).
