Lieutenant Ina was a female Human Starfleet officer who served on the USS Discovery in the mid-23rd and late 32nd centuries.
In 3189, Ina served as a bridge officer. She provided beam-down coordinates to the dilithium planet in the Verubin Nebula for an away team composed of Saru, Michael Burnham, and Hugh Culber. (DIS: "Su'Kal")
After Osyraa hijacked Discovery, Ina was held in the ready room with other bridge officers. After the group overpowered their guards, she was ordered by the acting captain, Ensign Sylvia Tilly, to barricade the turbolift doors to prevent entry by other Emerald Chain regulators. Ina later escaped with the other Starfleet officers with plans to retake the ship. (DIS: "There Is A Tide...")
Having just retaken the ship and facing off against Emerald regulator ships, Burnham stated that their priority was to get to the Nebula, prompting Ina to ask whether Burnham thought their crewmembers were still alive. Burnham then laid out the plan and soon after, Ina informed her that the Spore Drive had been activated. Shortly after, Burnham ordered Ina to beam Book abard the Spore cube an order which she affirmed and then executed.(DIS: "That Hope Is You, Part 2")
In 3190, during Discovery's stay in the orbit of Ni'Var, Ina was working together with Lieutenant Christopher on something related to the Dark Matter Anomaly. (DIS: "All Is Possible")
Ina was portrayed by Avaah Blackwell, who has played several Osnullus characters, including Lieutenant Arav.
