Geoff Brewer (30 November 1958 – 17 May 1989; age 30) was a stuntman and stunt coordinator who worked as stunt double for Ward Costello in a fight scene with fellow stuntman Tom Morga on the Star Trek: The Next Generation first season episode "Conspiracy". He received no credit for this stunt but is listed on the call sheet. He filmed this scene under Stunt Coordinator Erik Cord on Friday 11 March 1988 on Paramount Stage 6. Footage of this stunt was later included into the clip show "Shades of Gray", an episode of the second season.
Brewer started his stunt career in 1985 with stunt work in The Boys Next Door (1985, with Scott Cook and Debby Lynn Ross), the music comedy Girls Just Want to Have Fun (1985, with Bob Brown and Debby Lynn Ross and stunt coordination by Al Jones), and Invasion U.S.A. Brewer was one of five victims of a helicopter crash during filming the action sequel Delta Force 2: The Colombian Connection in which he portrayed Major Anderson. He was brought to a hospital where he suffered from a cardiac arrest which led to his death the following day. He died on 17 May 1989 at the Clark Air Force Base, Philippines at the age of 30. Brewer left behind his wife, actress Tammy Brewer and their two children, Austen and Natasha as well as his younger brother, stuntman and stunt coordinator Charlie Brewer. [1] [2]
