Class G was a planetary classification for a type of planet.

The Star Trek: Star Charts (p. 24) defined class G "geocrystalline" as a terrestrial planet between three and four billion years old, with a primarily carbon dioxide atmosphere, that will eventually cool into a class K, L, M, N, O, or P. Delta Vega was an example of such a planet.
