A type of avian lifeform was native to Hima. In 3188, as Michael Burnham was walking on a beach toward Cleveland Booker's ship, a flock of these birds, frightened by her presence, took to the sky squawking. (DIS: "That Hope Is You, Part 1")

An avian species was native to Trill. In 3189, a flock of these creatures resting near a pond in the vicinity of the Caves of Mak'ala took to the air squawking. (DIS: "Forget Me Not")
