Amber spice

Amber spice was a Talaxian delicacy.

In 2376, Neelix procured twelve kilograms of amber spice from a Kartelan freighter, which had obtained it from a former Talaxian colony in Sector 492. Unknown to him, the spice contained the larvae of photonic fleas, which some weeks later nested in a USS Voyager plasma conduit. (VOY: "The Voyager Conspiracy")
