Worm Metrics: Mathematical Biophysics
Studying the minimum distance by calories burned to travel for a polygonal chain worm with the ability to curl and also the ability to roll. to an object.
An obvious addition would be to give it legs.
Hybrid Digital-Analog Computing for the TSP
Mixing probabilistic computing 5:16-5:32 and digital-analog computing for the TSP.
This is done by making digital hybrid-analog computer to compare an isoline for a particular distance metric on a circular plate deformed by identical, dense half-ball bearings with the shortest tour between the centroids of the deformations. The thought is that the relationship between the isoline and shortest tour after deformation will be more correlated than the isoline and shortest tour before deformation because the placement of the half-ball bearings is coupled together in analog unlike digital. By finding tight bounds for the distribution in the null case, I can form a null hypothesis by comparing the correlation before and after deformation.
Bar Codes
To read multiple barcodes from an image that are custom made. Ideally, image reconstruction would be necessary and to have proper training data. We use certain colors to make the bar codes more readable.
