Iran launched missiles at two U.S. military bases early on Wednesday, in retaliation after President Trump ordered the assassination of Iranian general Qassem Soleimani. And of course, like many issues that could reflect badly upon the current commander in chief, President Trump has decided to blame it all on Obama.

On Wednesday's episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers, the host turned his attention to President Trump's less than reassuring national address following the missile strikes. "This speech swung wildly from bluster to threats to offerings of peace to outright lies," said Meyers, noting that Trump's accusation against Obama has been been "repeatedly debunked."

Obama also hasn't held office for three years, Meyers quipping that the 44th U.S. president is now preoccupied with water sports and "gradually unbuttoning his shirt one button at a time."

"In fact, Obama's shirt is basically our new threat level meter. When he was a president and wearing a suit, things were calm," said Meyers. "When Trump took office and Obama started undressing, things got crazy. You ever see Obama walking around without a shirt on, get in a bomb shelter immediately."
