GREEN GENIUS is taking a significant step by transforming our biogas plants into biomethane, marking the largest project of its kind in the Baltics. Our Lithuanian biogas portfolio includes 11 plants, with seven set to be upgraded for biomethane production. Additionally, a new plant will be built, and two biomethane injection points will be installed. 🌟 The total investment for this modernization is €35 million, partly funded by Swedbank Lietuvoje and an additional €8.5 million from Aplinkos projektų valdymo agentūra (the Lithuanian Ministry of Environment’s Environmental Project Management Agency). This #Partnership not only boosts our country's energy sector but also aligns to invest in sustainable innovations. Ruslanas Sklepowicz, CEO of GREEN GENIUS, highlights the project’s significance: 'This transformation is a giant leap towards Lithuania's commitment to sustainable and renewable energy sources. Local biomethane production is critical for Lithuania to meet the country's decarbonization targets.' Work starts in 2024 with the aim of reducing reliance on imported gas and improving environmental footprint. Let’s #EmpowerSustainability! 🌿

GREEN GENIUS first wind park is soon to rise! 🌀 Eleven wind turbines are on their way from the port of Klaipeda to our wind farm near Jurbarkas, Lithuania. This complex logistical work will soon be crowned by turbines that are 240 metres high, to create more #PositiveImpact. Initially, the wind park will have a capacity of 63 MW, which will escalate to 80 MW after the second phase, once a few more turbines are built. Starting in 2025, the wind park will help us to cut annual CO2 emissions by 130,000 tonnes. 💚 Stay tuned as we’re setting new standards to #EmpowerSustainability.

The first wind turbine has already been built in Jurbarkas wind park! 💚 Eleven turbines are being transported from Klaipeda's international port to the site of Jurbarkas (LT) wind park with 113 heavy vehicles at night. These 240-metre-high towers, supplied by Nordex Group, are made of 13 main parts. Each tower turbine takes up to 48 hours to reach the site. Once built: - The farm will boost Lithuania's wind portfolio by about 8%. - The park involves over 80 km of cable and 880 cubic meters of concrete for the foundations. - The initial 63 MW capacity will expand by another 17 MW, eventually supplying green energy and reducing CO2 emissions by 130,000 tons annually. - Our investment exceeds €100 million. We are eager to launch the first GREEN GENIUS wind park in 2025 and empower wind for #PositiveImpact. 🌱 Congratulations to our Head of Wind and Hydrogen Darius Biekša, PhD, Head of EPC Vaidas Sleivys, Supply Chain Manager Justas Palilionis, and the rest of the team for their intensive and dedicated work while ensuring the wind park's smooth development.
