George Noel Gordon Byron was a poet, politician, and aristocrat from late 18th and early 19th century Britain. He is most famous for his poetry, including such works such as Don Juan and Childe Harold's Pilgrimage, but his influence on literature as a whole extends beyond these, to themes such as the "Byronic hero".
