Malathion est liquidum limpidum sine colore, quod organophosphaticae insecticidae minoris toxicitatis humanae prodest. In Unione Sovietica carbophos (карбофос), in Nova Zelandia et Australia maldison, et in Africa Australi mercaptothion appellatur.[1]

Malathion est pesticida qui late adhibetur in agricultura, terrestri domiciliorum designatione, regionibus oblectationis publicae, et rationibus pestium continendarum pro valetudine publica sicut exstirpatio culicum.[2] Quod in Civitatibus Foederatis est insecticida organophosphaticus latissime adhibitus.[3]

Malathion cum suco maizi mixtum annis 1980 in Australia et California contra Ceratitem capitatam, muscam fructuum, adhibebatur.[4] In Canada et Civitatibus Foederatis, malathion in multis urbibus ad virus generis Flaviviri Nili Occidentalis minuendum aspergebatur.
