👏 Our colleagues from the locations in #Widnes and #Wesel have successfully completed the first 24 kilometers (nearly 15 miles) of the first stage of the Wales Coast Walk! Despite a rainy 🌧️ start, after a well-deserved rest, the walk continues in fine weather ⛅. But this is about more than just fun - it's about a good cause. One team is running for the H.E.A.R.T.S. theater program, which is aimed at children and young people with special needs, while the other team is running for DKMS Group to support the fight against blood cancer. 👀 We can look back on a remarkable purchaser’s seminar and are grateful for the valuable exchanges and contacts made. In the morning, the participants got to know our production and laboratory facilities. The experience was rounded off with a relaxed lunch together in the ALTANA AG guest restaurant. Not only the speakers, but also our customer service team, sales experts and BYK division president Jörg Hinnerwisch mingled with the seminar participants. We had a lovely evening event as part of our purchasers’ seminar, united by football ⚽! Together we watched the exciting match between Spain and France while enjoying some delicious food and drinks. BYK Netherlands realised a brand-new set of solar panels on the roof of its site in Denekamp. This will be the second location – besides Deventer - that creates energy through a sustainable source in the Netherlands. The warehouse roof is stacked with 444 solar panels which generate approximately 145.000 kWh of green electricity annually. We were delighted to have a full house of attendees from different coatings sectors such as automotive, construction, architectural, industrial and wood coatings. It was important for us to share our expertise on color systems, wetting and dispersing additives, appearance characterization and additives to achieve perfect appearance and rheology with our customers to make their products even more competitive.
