We have been working with the SEA Index Superyacht Eco Association to develop a new future-proof operational efficiency assessment method that evaluates the emissions of yachts over 25m and 400 gross tons. Employing a well-to-wake methodology and fuel selection, our efficiency method provides emissions intensity throughout the life cycle of the fuel used. This holistic perspective allows stakeholders to make the right decisions and implement targeted strategies for reducing environmental footprint. This collaboration contributes towards a greener yachting by improving the operational efficiency of yachts, a key pillar of any decarbonization strategy. #GrowWithRINA

Our Denmark Railway Certification team has recently moved into a brand-new office in the Hellerup area in Copenhagen. It reflects our people-focused strategy focused on prioritising well-being and work-life balance. The new office will enable our people to work together in a co-working space where a culture of inclusion and collaboration opens the door to new opportunities. We have been supporting TagEnergy in the development of the Golden Plains Wind Farm in Victoria, Australia. It is the southern hemisphere's largest onshore wind farm which is set to deliver 9% of Victoria’s energy when completed in mid-2027. Since 2021, our consultancy team has been actively involved in the project as a pre-construction technical advisor. We conducted technical due diligence and energy yield assessment for the first stage and environmental and social due diligence for the second stage. We also provided multidisciplinary consulting and design review services for the project and assisted the developers in identifying material risks related to contractors, manufacturers, and site-specific challenges. Moreover, we assessed the wind resource potential and energy yield performance given the wind farm design. #GrowWithRINA

Organised in cooperation with Università degli Studi dell'Aquila, with EGLA - EuroGroup Laminations as our partner and LTC Group | Legnano Teknoelectric Co. | Manufacturer of magnetic cores for transformers & reactors as our sponsor, the event highlighted the latest advancements in industrial magnetic materials, fostering exchanges between industry, academia, and research institutes. As part of the EU-funded SAFeCRAFT project, we are contributing to accelerate the transition to sustainable, climate-neutral alternative fuels (SAFs), aligning with the FuelEU Maritime 2040 targets 🚢 SAFeCRAFT will develop and demonstrate the safety and viability of SAFs in waterborne transport. We will implement an H2 GenSet onboard a capesize bulk carrier and examine SAFs for both retrofit and new building designs, reaching a Technology Readiness Level 7-8. In addition to identifying the most viable innovative solutions and ensure regulatory compliance, we will lead the definition of the desktop studies for both new builds (containership & tanker) and retrofits (containership, tanker, RoPax, cruise vessel). We will assess four alternative fuels: NH3, LH2, CGH2, and LOHC across three innovative powertrain combinations. This results in a total of 48 different cases! #GrowWithRINA
