ABS salutes the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) on their leadership and strong performance reflected in their 2023 Annual Report “Towards a Sustainable and Resilient #Maritime Future.” ⚓ We are delighted to work with MPA to support maritime excellence with important projects related to #shipping #decarbonization, digitalization and workforce training.
🚢 MPA is pleased to present our 2023 Annual Report, titled “Towards a Sustainable and Resilient Maritime Future.” 🌍 📄 The report provides an overview of #MaritimeSingapore’s performance and #MPA’s achievements in the past year, including key initiatives, projects, and collaborations. 📊 Despite threats to global supply chains, MPA and Maritime Singapore reached several milestones in 2023. Some key highlights: ⛴️ 3.09 billion GT in vessel arrivals – crossing 3 billion GT for the first time. 🌱 51.82 million tonnes in bunker sales volume – of which 1.2% are alternative fuels. 🏗️ 39.01 million TEUs in container throughput – a new record. 💼 Over S$4.8 billion in total business spend by key maritime companies overseen by MPA. 🤝 These achievements are not MPA’s alone, but testament of the strong support and collaboration with our international partners, industry, research and enterprise community, and unions. 🌿 #Decarbonisation and #digitalisation remain key on our agenda. We are committed to achieving #netzero emissions by 2050 and have made progress in areas in the #electrification of the #harbourcraft sector, low and zero-carbon fuel #bunkering, and establishing more partnerships in green and digital shipping corridors (#GDSCs). 💡 We are also on track with our digitalisation efforts, with the launch of the digitalPORT@SG™ Just-In-Time (#JIT) services, as well as the Maritime Cyber Assurance and Operations Centre (#MCAOC). ⚓ We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our tripartite and global partners for their unwavering support, and we look forward to continuing our shared journey towards maritime excellence, driven by innovation and sustainability. 🔗 Read the full report: https://lnkd.in/gSkaPaRm #MaritimeSG #AnnualReport2023
