About us

Vibinex brings context to pull requests. This additional context decreases friction, improves communication and accelerates execution in innovative tech teams. OUR "WHY?" We aim to accelerate the rate of innovation in software. The key to innovation is product iterations and user feedback. Our products focus on solving the biggest roadblocks to quick product iterations by reducing friction and improving communication. HOW DOES IT WORK We do this through UI/UX nudges on pull requests - the second home of a software engineer. We process the code repository and other necessary data to generate actionable insights. Then we deliver these insights on the pull request itself, as PR comments, bot actions or UI transformations via our browser extension. Vibinex is a 100% open-source tool with a privacy-first approach. Our architecture ensures that your code, your sensitive intellectual property, never leaves your infrastructure. Our DPU (data processing unit) is deployed on your machines and it never sends any part of it to our servers. 🚀 We’re thrilled to announce a powerful new feature for Vibinex🚀 🔍Reviewing changes in the call stack during a Pull Requests can be challenging. Our latest feature simplifies this process by helping developers easily visualize control flow changes in a PR. 🧠 We’re utilizing Phind, an open-source model built on top of Facebook's LLaMA, to enhance our tool. This model can be hosted privately, ensuring your data stays secure. 📊 The new feature generates clear and concise graphs using Mermaid Chart Markdown, directly within GitHub comments, making it easier to understand and review changes. We’re currently testing this internally and can’t wait to make it available for our users soon! Check out the screenshot attached to this post to see how the new feature helps visualize changes in control flows. Stay tuned for more updates.

We're thrilled to announce a significant improvement to our documentation, designed to make it easier for you to navigate and understand every step of the setup process. Our updated documentation now includes detailed explanations of the setup process, access permissions, and more. For example, if you're installing Vibinex on a company repository without admin access, you can clearly see how access to the code is only given to the docker that you run locally. This transparency helps you understand the process better and reduces confusion. Check out the docs page at https://vibinex.com/docs. We're committed to continuously improving our tool to meet your needs. If you have any suggestions or questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

Our founder Avikalp Gupta, gave a talk on "Scalable Code Reviews" when he took the stage at the 51st LSPE meetup in Bengaluru. 🔍 Focusing on the crux of efficiency in engineering practices, Avikalp brought the attention of the audience back to the fundamentals of code reviews, offering actionable insights on optimizing tooling, processes, and culture. His talk drew insights from interviews with 100+ senior engineers, aimed at tackling the common bottlenecks in code review processes. 🌐 As we move towards a future where AI will write most of the code and human code reviews will be the main bottleneck, we’re excited to be at the forefront with Vibinex, shaping the developer experience in the AI age. 📽 Check out the full talk here: https://lnkd.in/guCtZWQK #CodeReviews #TechTalk #SoftwareDevelopment #Scalability

New Login Page for Vibinex 🔑 We’re happy to announce an upgrade to Vibinex’s login page. Previously, we relied on NextAuthJS’s default login interface. Now, we’ve introduced a sleeker, more user-friendly design. 🌙 Dark Theme Compatibility: Our revamped login page caters to all theme preferences. Whether you prefer light mode or dark mode, the GitHub logo is now prominently visible. 🔒 Same Functionality, Better Aesthetics: Everything else related to the auth experience of Vibinex, whether for the website or for the browser extension, remains the same.

Exciting news! When new users sign up on Vibinex, they’ll now receive a confirmation email. 🎉 This is the first time we are sending any emails to our users. We used SendGrid to make this possible, and it took us less than a day to set it up and integrate with our application. Stay tuned for more updates!

🔥 We’re thrilled to announce a cool upgrade on Vibinex! 🔥 We’ve just rolled out a new settings tab that makes it a breeze to update your teammates’ GitHub or Bitbucket handles directly within Vibinex. Why Is This Important? Before this feature, if team members didn't have a Vibinex account, their different git-aliases would show up as separate rows in the reviewer table on the PR comment. Without their GitHub/Bitbucket handles, Vibinex couldn't automatically assign them as reviewers on the pull request. With this feature, you can manually assign handles to git aliases of your teammates who haven't yet created a Vibinex account. How Does It Work? - Head over to the new settings page on Vibinex. - Update your teammates’ GitHub or Bitbucket handles. Watch the magic happen! Vibinex will automatically assign reviewers and streamline your code review process. 🚀 #Vibinex #CodeReview #GitHub #Bitbucket #DeveloperTools
