  • The National Association of Students of Architecture (NASA) India, established 67 years ago by seven of the country's most esteemed colleges, stands as a testament to the vision and ambition of its founders. This pioneering movement was conceived with the mission of uniting architecture students across India, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose within the architectural fraternity. Guided by a visionary ethos, NASA India has grown into an influential platform that transcends geographical boundaries, offering architecture students opportunities to connect, collaborate, and advocate for their collective goals. This association serves as a conduit for knowledge exchange, professional development, and the promotion of architectural excellence. Throughout its illustrious history over the years, NASA India has seen contributions from over a million students, each leaving a significant impact on the organization and the wider architectural field. Together shaping the future of architecture fraternity, building on the legacy of past generations of dedicated architecture students who have made, and will continue to make, substantial contributions to the profession, ensuring its ongoing relevance and dynamism.

  • The Annual NASA Convention, marking the successful completion of NASA India's 66th year, was held from February 29th to March 3rd at Eranad Knowledge City in Kerala. As an opportunity to recognize the recipients of the NASA India Scholarship Fund (NISF) and the NASA India Thesis Grant (NITG), the chief guest, President of the Council of Architecture, Ar. Abhay Purohit along with the council, presented the grants to the exceptional students who demonstrated their commitment and dedication to the field of architecture. NASA India Scholarship Funds (NISF) aims to provide financial assistance to deserving students enrolled in NASA India-associated colleges who are experiencing financial hardship in the course of their architectural education. The NITG (NASA India Thesis Grant) is an initiative in which we hope to address the issue and break down barriers for architecture students by providing financial support for their thesis projects. Allowing them to excel in their academics, visit case studies, and gain much-needed experience. Thus, empowering the future architects to make the fraternity better and honoured to be a part of their architectural education journey.

I am thrilled to have 2 of my interviews- one with #WFM magazine, and one with #NASA-India released today. They both touch very different sides of my work and personality. Hope you all enjoy and support both. Interview 1 WFM Media magazine published my 8-page interview in the current edition of their magazine. In continuation, their Chief Editor Renu Rajaram interviewed me in this 40min Q&A on "#Crafting #Spaces". I talk about our work at #FHD, #facade design, #sustainability and #design. It is an interesting talk that connects the facade and sustainability. The target audience is professional architects and construction industry peers, but it will be of interest to everyone. Thanks to WFM and Renu Rajaram for the enjoyable conversation. You can find the full interview on WFM's YouTube channel https://lnkd.in/gQ55AtEg Interview 2 National Association of Students of Architecture (NASA India) interviewed me on "#Narratives in #Architecture" where I explain concept design in a 45-minute Q&A. I had the opportunity to touch on the process of concept design, responding to various conditions, differences in architecture practice around the world, the relevance of awards in practice and on masters. It asks questions that everyone have in their mind but has never asked. For one "Why do architecture need awards? How does it affect practice?". Though it is targeted for students of architecture, I hope it will be very useful to architects, and all design professionals at large. Thanks to the NASA-India team Evanthika Edviges Coelho Pereira, Chembian Barani, Likith Jain for inviting me to be a part of this series and Nicole and Yashitha for organizing the interview. You can find the full interview on Spotify-exclusive. https://lnkd.in/gApqyQMv It is a pleasant surprise to have your first two interviews, get published on the same day. I have shared insights that I believe is worth your valuable time and will add some value to your profession/life. I hope you will enjoy both and if you do, feel free to share your feedback!
