Behind all snazzy robots is the capital and time investment that goes in setting up systems to make robots functional. Robotic arms have impeccable precision in movements however they are only machines that move in fixed paths and are not intuitive or intelligent. 70% ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐œ๐จ๐ฌ๐ญ of the automation is spent creating mechanisms to present one type of object to be worked on in precise orientation and positions for the robots to be able to pick them up. Itโ€™s like paying 1lakh to operate a 30k refrigerator and only for that one refrigerator; if you change the model you have to do it all over again. And this is just for the tasks we can automate. Un-automatable tasks come next, everything that involves assembling various parts to make an object [๐˜ด๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฅ๐˜ด ๐˜ญ๐˜ช๐˜ฌ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ฆ๐˜ท๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜บ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ ๐˜ฎ๐˜ถ๐˜ค๐˜ฉ?] is currently run by human effort. Any dynamism or unpredictability render automation solutions fruitless.
