Ilia State University ranks first in SCImago Institutions Rankings in Georgia.

SCImago Institutions Rankings is a classification of academic and research-related institutions ranked by a composite indicator that combines three different sets of indicators based on research performance, innovation outputs and societal impact, measured by their web visibility and is based on one of the most influential and the largest scientific database Scopus.

8084 research institutions were included throughout the world in SCImago Institutions Rankings and Ilia State University ranks 738 (worldwide), in Eastern Europe region ISU ranks 189 and in Georgia - first.
