The name of the app couldn't make its purpose any clearer: Home Inventory is a tool for Mac that you can use to make an inventory of everything you own.

With the app, you can enter information about the objects and where each one is located. Home Inventory also lets you store images of each object by importing them from a file, the iSight camera, or a scanner.

Not only can you save information like the serial number, manufacturer, purchase value and current value; Home Inventory also lets you make notes about the guarantees that come with certain objects, along with the customer service contact information.
