During school year 2023-2024, ElvalHalcor together with Cenergy Holdings and SIDENOR steel industry, supported the initiative "Career prospects of Vocational High School graduates in the industrial sector" in collaboration with The Tipping Point in Education. Students from various Vocational High Schools in Viotia and Attica specializing in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Automation, were given the opportunity to gain insight into potential career paths in our industry. This was made possible through their interaction with mentors from ElvalHalcor, who provided valuable information and helped them prepare for the job market.." ELVAL is proud to join the First Movers Coalition (FMC), a global initiative led by the World Economic Forum and the U.S. Government to accelerate zero-carbon technologies by leveraging companies’ combined purchasing power. The First Movers Coalition is tackling the hardest-to-abate sectors to create a market tipping point for the clean tech needed to remain within the critical climate target of 1.5ºC. ❝Collaborative efforts across the aluminium value chain are vital for the successful decarbonization of the sector. The participation of 5 Evening Vocational High Schools in the initiative "Career prospects of Vocational High School graduates in the industrial sector" was of great significance. ➡ Students of all ages from Evening Vocational High schools in Peristeri, Nea Philadelphia, Livadia, Corinth and Nea Ionia of Magnesia, participated in this initiative and were informed by employees of Cenergy Holdings, ElvalHalcor and SIDENOR steel industry about the employment prospects in the manufacturing industry, as well as the skills required for their successful integration into the labor market, while at the same time they had the opportunity to cultivate these skills through practical activities.
