Apr 30 at 15:28 comment added kscherrer @AlanEvangelista I think "bisher immer" has a small implication that this fact might change, "schon immer" implies it probably won't change, and simply "immer" has no such implication in any direction, it's more about stating the fact than implying whether it about to change or not.
