Aberdeen International Airport’s Community Fund, the ABZ Propeller Fund, has supported more than 10 projects this year, with half of the £30,000 funding still available. In 2024, the funding amount was increased to coincide with the 90th anniversary of the North East’s largest transport hub. Established to support the region, the ABZ Propeller Fund has been vital in supporting numerous worthy causes. Since its relaunch in 2022, Aberdeen International Airport has reaffirmed its commitment to empowering local initiatives and driving positive change within the community. 🌞✈️ Exciting news from Glasgow Airport! As the airport hits its busiest period of the year, with 600,000 passengers expected in the next three weeks, Glasgow Airport is all set for a summer getaway! Over 150,000 passengers are expected to travel through the airport this weekend, now that school is out for summer. During the next three weeks, an average of 30,000 passengers each day will travel through Glasgow Airport on more than 240 flights. 🌍🧳

The New Terminal One at JFK successfully concluded a $2.55 billion Green Bond issuance, the largest ever municipal bond financing for an airport project. ✈️ This achievement signifies another important step in the successful delivery of the project. The New Terminal One project represents a $9.5 billion investment and will increase the terminal’s capacity to serve an estimated 23 million passengers annually with a best-in-class experience.  It will be the largest terminal at JFK International Airport. Congratulations to Aberdeen Airport! Last Saturday, nearly 400 runners lit up the runway at night, not just with their enthusiasm but with their incredible spirit of giving. Together, they raised £50,000 during the airport’s record-breaking Midnight Runway Run, supporting AberNecessities and the Forget Me Not Club. 🏃♂️🎉 Special thanks to everyone involved, including to the airport’s partners at CHC Helicopters, our volunteers, and of course, the runners. 📢 Glasgow Airport has awarded over £3,000 to several local primary schools and early learning and childcare centers through the Airport’s FlightPath Fund in 2024. This fund supports diverse local groups and organizations as part of the airport’s commitment to improving the lives of the neighboring community. So far this year, over £31,000 has been allocated to different groups, clubs, charities, and community organizations.
