There are a lot of behaviour similarities between the two users. Irtapil no longer has a user page, but I recall it being filled with babel boxes, and their Big Babel Table still exists. MWQs has a large number on their user page; there is also considerable overlap in the languages listed, including IPA, en-AU, en-GB, Latin script, Arabic script, and Cyrillic script. The claimed competencies don't match, but I don't believe they are intended to be accurate - for example, they claim they are a native British English speaker contributing in English on Wikipedia who only has "intermediate understanding of the Latin script". They also both express disdain of American English.
They both have similar time cards, with their editing spread out across the entire time card with no discernible pattern. (MWQs, Irtapil). Outside of the English Wikipedia, they have both contributed to the Arabic Wikipedia and the Simple English Wikipedia, the latter of which Irtapil is indefinitely blocked from for abusing several accounts
. Of MWQ's seven edits on Simple English Wikipedia, three have been to pages Irtapil edited, Mahmoud Al-Mabhouh and Christmas tree. The former article was created by Irtapil, and the latter were edits to content Irtapil initially added (Irtapil, MWQs).
MWQs was created on the last day their previous sockpuppet, BottleOfSoup, edited. MWQs started editing at a rapid rate from the 10th of May; the last day Irtapil edited was the 7th of May.
Irtapil frequently and deliberately didn't capitalize "i"s in the middle of sentences. While they do it far less frequently than Irtapil MWQs has done the same. They have also made several other shared spelling mistakes, such as "refernces" (eg Irtapil, MWQs), "annon" (eg Irtapil, MWQs) "symaltanious" (eg MWQs, Irtapil). Some of them are relatively common mistakes, but others are more obscure.
Irtapil is topic banned from Israel-Palestine, and MWQs activity is almost entirely within that topic area, having dived into it within their first few edits in a similar manner to BottleOfSoup.
I removed some evidence from this report before posting, as if I correct I suspect they'll be back with another account and so want to avoid spilling to many WP:BEANS, but if necessary I can add it. For full disclosure, this was brought to my attention by Iam Nexus, who I am certain is also a sockpuppet. BilledMammal (talk) 16:03, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
