DYK for Morris Villarroel[edit]

On 21 June 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Morris Villarroel, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Morris Villarroel wore a camera on his chest that took around 1,200 photographs per day for several years? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Morris Villarroel. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Morris Villarroel), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

ArbCom case request[edit]

You are involved in a recently filed request for arbitration. Please review the request at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case#An admin advising another user to deliberately introduce errors and, if you wish to do so, enter your statement and any other material you wish to submit to the Arbitration Committee. As threaded discussion is not permitted on most arbitration pages, please ensure that you make all comments in your own section only. Additionally, the guide to arbitration and the Arbitration Committee's procedures may be of use.

Thanks, Just Step Sideways from this world ..... today 19:47, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Request for arbitration declined[edit]

The request for arbitration in which you were named as a party has been declined by the Arbitration Committee. Arbitrators generally expressed the view that this incident on its own did not yet require arbitration and could have likely been resolved at AN/I. Stop changing -ise to -ize on the grounds that it's not "British"[edit]

See Oxford spelling. -ize is British spelling as much as -ise. DeCausa (talk) 22:21, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@DeCausa: You know there's a Use Oxford spelling template right? ―Panamitsu (talk) 22:31, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
But yes I'll move on to other spelling errors, thanks. ―Panamitsu (talk) 22:33, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Changing - -ize to -ise in British spelling articles is a breach of ENGVAR. The template's irrelevant. I'm glad you are stopping it. I'm concerned at the speed/volume of what you have erroneously done. If you move on to what you think is some other "spelling error" get feedback on what you are doing before proceeding at that sort of pace in case you make another misjudgment. DeCausa (talk) 22:37, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@DeCausa: thanks for letting me know. What I'm talking about are the -our/-or ones, such as colour/honour/favourite/etc. ―Panamitsu (talk) 22:40, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Responses section on 2024 shooting at a Donald Trump rally[edit]

Hello, Panamitsu. Please discuss your decision to add responses here on the talk page for the 2024 shooting at a Donald Trump rally. It is currently being debated, as it will likely become outdated very quickly, and turn into a pain to edit later if we add reactions from every politician. Ornov Ganguly (talk) 01:28, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Oganguly: I did not realise that this was under debate and am not interested in participating. You are welcome to remove my addition, thanks. ―Panamitsu (talk) 02:26, 14 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
