The MicBooster is a microphone preamplifier designed and developed by Laurence Taylor a BBC Television Sound Supervisor.

It was originally conceived in 2005 and extensively tested and perfected over several years.

The preamplifier is unique being powered solely from Phantom Power and also passing that phantom power on to the microphone. Furthermore more the preamp does not reduce the current available to microphone as other units might, the power is drawn as if the preamp were in series with the microphone.

The preamplifer is balanced signal on both legs
