Ringing associations

[edit]

Do we really need to add this to the template? There are 9 pages of associations and societies listed in the Ringing World diary, roughly 140. Doubtless each association will regard themselves as equivalent to the two already listed. If someone would like to enter up the associations as a list page and link it to the template or relevant pages though would be helpful. Using the screen formatting I employ, the associations would occupy around 17 lines when all other ringing topics only consume 10 lines; a case of the tail wagging the dog. It is now 21 April, could we seek consensus by the end of the month please? Martin of Sheffield (talk) 21:35, 21 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It doesn't matter how many ringing associations there are. However, there are twenty pages in Category:Bell ringing organisations. Hyacinth (talk) 08:46, 23 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Image

[edit]

An image that is less wide would be desirable as it would crowd the text less. The current image is short and thus needs be wide:

The following two seem like good options:

Add Striking clock?

[edit]

I venture to suggestion that a link to Striking clock from this template would not go amiss, perhaps in the bellringing row? I tried to find info on wikipedia to answer a question about "church bells striking the time using a 24-hour pattern", reached for Church bell, found the template, but found no link to Striking clock, which was probably where I wanted to be. --Tagishsimon (talk) 19:36, 16 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
