Additions of characters

[edit]

I'm removing the characters from this template. They probably need their own template, or something, because this one looks really bulky right now. --Dynamite Eleven 19:12, 30 August 2005 (UTC) PS: Just to give you an idea for a possible character template, here's what I salvaged from the previous edit [1]:[reply]
{{Back to the Future characters}}

Above edit by Wack'd About Wiki at 17:56, 2 September 2005 (looks better than what I salvaged) --Dynamite Eleven 23:24, 2 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
It looks like we've come full circle. The characters are in the main template, where IMHO they should be, and {{Back to the Future characters}} is only used in one article, McFly family, where it looks out of place due to the presence of the main template. I'll remove the characters template and nominate for deletion. -- Chuq (talk) 01:44, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Template importance

[edit]

"no" importance seems a bit harsh for the navigation template of a substantial cluster of articles about an important film trilogy. I've reclassed it as mid, which seems a reasonable compromise given that I personally consider it of high importance (within the context of navigation boxes, anyway). I've actually used it to navigate! -- Karen | Talk | contribs 21:09, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

on the other hand, in the grand scheme of things, that's an overestimate. How about "low", then? -- Karen | Talk | contribs 21:10, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Update

[edit]

I've updated this template to take over for the sidebar, I hope, which takes up way too much article real estate, esp. for articles with infoboxes. I don't think the characters take up too much space, since this navbox sits at the bottom of the article anyway, and now that navboxes hide, I think it's sufficient to include everything in one template.
