Suggested Changes from Westfield

[edit]

Hello. My name is Erik Even, and I am a Web Producer for Westfield Corporation. We're concerned that many of the Wikipedia pages for Westfield centers have incorrect or outdated information, and even content that is not NPOV.

I have read the rules for Conflict of Interest, and I will not be attempting to make any page edits. I will simply be going into talk pages, and suggesting edits, which the community may then either act on or not. I genuinely appreciate any help you can give.

Our suggested text is below, which is meant to be the first paragraph.

Again, thank you for your help.

Suggested text:

Westfield Century City, formerly known as Century Square Shopping Center, is a two-level, 900,000-square-foot outdoor shopping mall in the Century City commercial district in Los Angeles, California. It is owned by Westfield Corporation. Its anchor stores include Bloomingdale's, Macy's, a Gelson's supermarket, and a 15-screen AMC multiplex. The center features several upscale restaurants, including Gulfstream and Seasons 52. It is currently undergoing an $800 million expansion, which will add a Nordstrom flagship store.

Strike the mention of the restaurants. "Upscale" is rather subjective, and I don't see why these two restaurants are especially significant, as compared to how anchor stores stand out from the other retail establishments. Also, I'd like to see a citation from a news source supporting the $800 million expansion. Altamel (talk) 04:34, 7 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Per Altamel's request, here is an LA Times link supporting the claim of a $800 million expansion: http://www.latimes.com/business/realestate/la-fi-century-city-mall-20150821-story.html

Thanks!

Here's the reference formatted in wiki-markup:[1] Please append it to the end of your requested change along with striking the sentence on the restaurants. I approve the modified version to be added to the main article. Altamel (talk) 02:59, 18 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The newly renovated WCC has reopened, however I can't determine what percentage of the complex is complete. It looks like phase 1 of the grand opening was on April 6. Century City news article 17.255.233.17 (talk) 01:50, 13 August 2017 (UTC) Darwin[reply]
