Remove the twinned City of Belgorod. Please see belgorod (russia) Wikipedia page as reference. Due to the Russian Ukraine war, the twinning has been removed. 62.89.138.36 (talk) 00:26, 4 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Khan

[edit]

The situation with the MP needs updating. Better still, unlock the page.. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 36.11.228.207 (talk) 22:30, 11 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I just wanted to write the same. "Wakefield's MP is Imran Ahmad Khan", no, sirs, he was MP and is no more--Cabanero (talk) 17:14, 21 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I have updated with text from linked article. The page is not protected at the moment so could have made edit yourself. Keith D (talk) 09:23, 22 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Collage

[edit]

So I made the changes to an older collage but feel the new photos are good but found sadly Wakefield does not get many new photos every year and finding one of the cathedral and a clear skyline is tricky. I am happy to discuss any proposed changes but feel we must keep the skyline and cathedral just to show the importance of West Riding of Yorkshire's county town. @A.D.Hope @Crouch, Swale @PamD @Chocolateediter @Rupples @JMF @KeithD any thoughts? • I'd make the point that if available images of the skyline are not up to scratch, it's better not to include one. My view is that the one in the article is not good enough as is, because there is too much foreground. Rupples (talk) 16:21, 26 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@DragonofBatley: If you go to Geograph and look for photos submitted in 2015 and early 2016 you should fine the most recently uploaded files to Commons. Crouch, Swale (talk) 16:29, 26 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I agree it seems to be the best of the available skyline shots on Commons. I don't think we need two "Victorian civic pride" buildings, and liked the shot of the Hepworth, with river (canal?), which was in a previous version, as reflecting 21st century. But as you all know I think 3 images is enough for a collage anyway. PamD 07:44, 27 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have reinstated a collage of three images I added earlier to replace poor and duplicated images added subsequently. Esemgee (talk) 21:53, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
