Volvo S80 is not a competitor of Buick Lucerne, Chrysler 300C, Mercury Marauder. Both Volvo's website as well as Buick, Chrysler, and Mercury's does not compare these under their comparison section. Volvo compares themself with BMW, Audi, Saab, Lexus, who in return compares their cars to Volvo. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.198.220.100 (talk) 20:01, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Every single S80 has been built in the Gothenburg, Sweden plant. -> Not true. There are these local assembly plants e.g. malaysia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.30.176.71 (talk) 15:44, 8 June 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Doesn't the King of Sweden drive a limo' version or something like that? I'd assume it also does duty with Swedish overseas missions. Might be worth mentioning if anyone knows for sure... -- stewacide — Preceding undated comment added 17:34, 20 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The S80 ain't no mid-sizer!

[edit]

Dude, the guy who edited the article before you did was right, the Volvo S80 is a full-size luxury car, not a mid-size executive. It was built to be related to the Lincoln Town Car. 166.137.191.44 (talk) 19:54, 21 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Most certainly not related to the Town Car. Also not related to the Tata Nano.  Mr.choppers | ✎  00:22, 23 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Sure it's not a mid-size, it's larger - E-class (executive car) (Between D and F segments), enough vandalizing the article and misleading readers — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.140.233.227 (talk) 20:19, 20 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The Volvo S80 Is Not A Full-Size Car, So Stop Saying It Is

[edit]

It's a mid-size car. 166.137.191.43 (talk) 00:18, 9 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Would the awd system in the s80 poentially fit in a 2001 v70?

[edit]

They are both the same platform so it seems plausible 71.7.208.66 (talk) 02:06, 4 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

S90-S80-S90

[edit]

The article does not make sense where it claims that the S90 was replaced by the S80 which was replaced by the S90. Editors might like to get this sorted out. 182.239.148.125 (talk) 03:31, 3 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You will have to bring it up with Volvo; we just report these matters. Click the links to the different S90s and you will see that there is a gap, when there was no S90 available.  Mr.choppers | ✎  03:36, 3 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
