Helium

[edit]
  • "Set in the American West of 1893,...
  • "Professor Wickwire returns many times in the series to assist with technology, including tinkering with motorcycles and rescuing the heroes with a helium-filled zeppelin."
  • From Helium - "The formal discovery of the element was made in 1895 by two Swedish chemists, Per Teodor Cleve and Nils Abraham Langlet, who found helium emanating from the uranium ore cleveite. In 1903, large reserves of helium were found in natural gas fields in parts of the United States, which is by far the largest supplier of the gas today."

It is more likely that the zeppelin was filled with hydrogen, which was already in use for balloons in the US Civil War. But since this is fiction anything's possible. If anyone has access to a source this should be checked. Rezin (talk) 19:17, 14 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The show abounds in anachronism for comedic effect, and this is one of those cases. It's clearly stated by the Wickwire character that he's using helium in that particular scene. Cheers, AstroCog (talk) 04:31, 15 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Figures. Thanks for making sure. Rezin (talk) 21:31, 15 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Revival/Reboot

[edit]

Netflix has advertised a continuation of this show, starring Bruce Campbell with some new characters of course. Any chance of someone writing an article or at least a subsection about it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.71.112.153 (talk) 22:03, 4 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Anyone is free to help maintain the featured status of this article by addressing some of the following comments. This article looks to be in good shape and well-researched. There are maybe some questionable sources (Greg Sutter Website, etc.) and an unreferenced sentence but nothing seems worrisome. The citations should be checked for proper capitalization formatting. The cast section needs some alterations to align more closely with MOS:TVCAST. I have access to USA Today Nielsen ratings so I may add the viewership per episode myself when I have the time.
